What makes a Korean facial different?
Consistency and detail rather than one-off pampering. A Korean facial, done properly, starts with an honest assessment of your skin — congestion, sensitivity, pigment, texture — and combines thorough, gentle extraction with layered hydration and device-assisted care chosen for your skin that day.
The goal is not an hour of relaxation. It is skin that looks clearer, calmer and brighter for weeks.
The Astele way
- We look before we touch. Every visit starts with a close look at what is active, what is congested and what is healing. For a measured view, our MetaVu 3D skin analysis — the first in North America — photographs your face under five kinds of light from three angles, builds a 3D scan, and shows pores, wrinkles, pigmentation, redness, sebum and radiance compared with your age group.
- Extraction with judgement. This is what we are known for. We clear the congestion that is ready — cleanly, from the base — and leave inflamed spots alone. Skin that has been congested for months is cleared over a few visits, not forced in one. Extraction is built into the Acne Special Treatment and can be added to any other facial for $20. - Almost no add-ons. We price each facial as low as we can and build in what it needs, so you are not sold step by step on the table. Deep cleansing, exfoliation and hydration are part of every facial — and where it suits the treatment, so is a jelly mask or PDT light therapy. Our add-on list is short on purpose: extractions (+$20) on facials that are not built around them, and three optional extras if you want more time on the table.
- Contouring massage. Sculpting hand techniques — lifting, de-puffing and defining the jawline — in our Korean Contouring Facial, Korean Architect Facial Massage and Signature Korean Contouring Massage & Facial.
- Slow, consistent change. Treatments every 3–4 weeks do the clinical work; your home routine does the daily work. We would rather change one product in your routine than sell you three.

- GentleMax Pro Plus laser hair removal — Candela’s Health Canada-licensed dual-wavelength laser (755 nm Alexandrite for lighter skin, 1064 nm Nd:YAG for darker skin and coarser hair) with a cooling burst on every pulse, so the settings are chosen for your skin rather than one laser for everyone. Not sure which one fits? That is normal — skin rarely has just one thing going on. Send us a note, tell us what is bothering you, and we will recommend honestly. If a smaller treatment is enough, we will say so.
Transparent pricing, almost no add-ons. Every price is published before you walk in, and each facial is priced as low as we can make it with what it needs already built in — deep cleansing, exfoliation and hydration in every facial, and a jelly mask or PDT light therapy where it suits the treatment. Package sessions are priced clearly and stay valid for 12 months. The consultation is part of the visit, and we will never talk you into something your skin does not need.
If you would like a facial every month, the Astele Skin Plan Membership ($175/month + GST) includes one facial from the Skin Plan menu each month, plus a MetaVu 3D skin analysis at your first visit and every four months.

Do extractions hurt?
Extraction here is thorough but careful — the skin is prepared first, and most guests find it far gentler than they expected. Your comfort sets the pace.
How often should I get a facial?
For most skin, every 3–4 weeks matches your skin’s natural cycle. For acne-focused care, we may suggest a short series first — we will map it out with you.
Can I book a first visit without knowing what I need?
Yes — choose the Deep Cleansing Facial, or simply contact us and we will guide you from there. A MetaVu 3D skin analysis can be added on request.
